    sm-ad

It’s finally out!   My new ad in the Atlanta Bride and Groom Planner is in the latest issue!  I picked up the latest copy at a luncheon last week by The Atlanta B&G Planner and Atlanta Occasions.  The lunch was at the  new Hotel Palomar, a luxury midtown hotel.  The Palomar would be a great place for a reception if your wedding was in Atlanta.  I will be adding Hotel Palomar to my referral list soon. Legends 183

This past Tuesday evening I had the privilege of attending the preview of a new event facility in Atlanta.  I had been invited by Suzette Wilson with Brides Atlanta and I am so happy she did!  The preview party was held at Legends Banquet & Special Event Center.  This “new” location is in one of the oldest churches in Atlanta.  This church had set empty for years, unused and unloved until it’s recent purchase and renovation.  You may have seen the church before from I-75/I-85, it’s just across the Interstate from Turner Field on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard.  I must say, I was blown away by this “new” event space!  It has almost 4,000 square feet of space in the main ballroom and will easily accommodate 200 plus guests, but that’s just the main floor! Many of my clients return and request that I photograph the newest members of their family.  Just a few days prior to her parents eighth wedding anniversary, this beautiful baby girl was born.  In these images she is a little over a week old.
It’s days like Saturday that make it good to be me!  I hope these images bring you some of the joy I experienced making them!

Well, it’s about time!  The new site is here!  As you may have noticed, the web site for Treasured Image has changed.  Changed for the better with a new look and format.  The biggest change is the elimination of  Flash content from the site.  For those of you that are unfamiliar with Flash, it’s a little piece of programming that makes all the pretty slide shows and music work on some web sites.  While Flash makes for a nice web site, there’s a downside.  Google, Ask, Yahoo and other search engines don’t like Flash.  Yup, they don’t, the reason is they can’t read the content of the Flash based site as easily.  As a result Flash sites don’t rank as well as other sites.  This is called low SEO or, Search Engine Optimization.  At my age, it’s common to keep an eye out for high cholesterol, so now I need to watch out for low SEO?  To make Google and the other search sites happy, I dumped the Flash content.
A second benefit, this blog.  I am looking forward to sharing some of my latest work, like the image to your left, this is from a wedding I shot in September.  They were a great couple, it was a wonderful day and loads of fun!  When I first saw this picture on the screen during editing I was very excited!  Everything was perfect, the way they were centered in the aisle, their expressions, the reflection in the floor, everything!  The image is pretty much as shot, with no photoshop enhancements.
The third, and I think best of all benefits is that I will be able to keep content both images and text updated, something that has been a bit of a challenge lately given my busy schedule.
